IN just a few days, an Irish seaside village is set to completely transform for a summer festival. Bray in Co Wicklow will host the Beach BBQ Festival next weekend, promising a mouth-watering couple of days. The festival will provide sun, sand and delicious food.
Running on Saturday July 20 and Sunday July 21, the family friendly event has something for everyone. It promises to be the "ultimate summer party" with activities including a funfair, demos, games, DJ sets, food trucks and delicious barbecues. The event will begin at 11am each day, when top vendors will fire up their grills to provide guests with delicious food including burgers, sausages, kebabs and an assortment of vegetarian and vegan dishes.
The festival will provide mocktails and non alcoholic beers at the Salty Cove bar. Granby is the main sponsor of the festival, partnering with Smokin' Soul. Postmasters will showcase their top tips and techniques on the demo stage, giving guests delicious recipes.
The demos start at noon on both days. The festival will also have a Hot Wings Challenge if you're feeling adventurous, and no registration is required. Admission to the festival is free and no tickets are required.
It is the ultimate family day out and there will also be a funfair on site. Charges apply on the funfair rides, at food stalls, craft vendors and selected games and competitions. The festival is alcohol-free and the funfair will open from Saturday July 20 until the Bank Holiday Monday on August 5 2024.
