Thursday, June 6, 2024 Organized by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), the “Experience Macao Roadshow in Korea” took place successfully from May 30 to June 2. MGTO collaborated with local travel trade partners to host themed exhibit zones and introduce special travel promotions alongside local industry operators. The event engaged Seoul’s residents with Macao’s unique blend of “tourism plus” offerings, capitalizing on Korea’s position as Macao’s top international visitor market.

The four-day roadshow drew an impressive 120,000 attendees. Leveraging the increased air transport capacity and growing number of visitors from Korea, MGTO returned to Seoul for another roadshow. This year’s event was held at Shinsegae Department Store in Gangnam, Seoul’s premier shopping district, aiming to attract Korea’s affluent travelers.



Themed “My Favorite Macao,” the event featured interactive games and installations. Economic Development Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin and six integrated resort enterprises from Macao showcased their tourism facilities and latest offerings. The event saw over 120,000 attendees in total.

MGTO also launched extensive online promotions for the event, partnering with Korea’s leading travel platform, GOOD CHOICE, for online sales of Macao tourism products, including flight and hotel packages. Various airlines offered discounts, making the products highly popular among locals and roadshow attend.
