Lion Group has unveiled plans to enhance Umrah flight services and religious tourism to Saudi Arabia for the period 2024 to 2025. This initiative aims to provide Indonesian pilgrims with more convenient, efficient, and comfortable travel options for performing Umrah.
Recognizing the need for accessibility and ease in religious travel, Lion Group offers two flight service options for Indonesian Umrah pilgrims: Direct Flights from Major Indonesian Cities: Lion Air will provide direct flights to Jeddah and Medina from major Indonesian cities, including Jakarta, Surabaya, Solo, Palembang, and Makassar. This service aims to reduce travel time and transit stops, ensuring a smoother journey for pilgrims. Multicity Flights with a Transit Stop in Kuala Lumpur: Pilgrims departing from Medan, Padang, Pekanbaru, Batam, Jakarta, Surabaya, Bali, Lombok, and Makassar, among other cities, can opt for multicity flights with a transit stop in Kuala Lumpur.
These flights to Jeddah and Medina will be operated by Batik Air Malaysia (OD flight code). Both flight options are designed to cater to the diverse needs and preferences of Indonesian pilgrims and tourists. The direct flights offer the convenience of reduced travel time and easier access from nearby cities, while the multicity flights provide flexibility.
