Thursday, June 20, 2024 Effective June 18, 2024, Leslie Li will step into the role of General Manager at the Shenyang New World EXPO (EXPO), overseeing its administration, operations, and personnel. Previously serving as the Vice President at the China National Convention Center (CNCC) in Beijing for over five years, Li has substantial experience in the industry. During his tenure at CNCC, he temporarily managed two additional venues, focusing on marketing, branding, and business development, while overseeing the related departments.

Li shared his excitement about his new role in Shenyang, aiming to build on the successes since the EXPO’s inauguration in 2017. He remarked, “It is a great honor to spearhead efforts following the outstanding achievements we’ve seen here, even amidst the challenges of the COVID era. I am eager to invigorate our team daily and boost the venue’s economic contribution to Shenyang, ensuring that EXPO sets the standard in professionalism within China’s exhibition and meeting industry.



” Li succeeds Diane Chen, who has been a pivotal figure at EXPO since 2012, contributing significantly during its construction phase. Chen is advancing to become one of the Deputy Managing Directors at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center (HKCEC), which is experiencing a growth in activities and a need for enhanced leadership. Both EXPO and HKCEC are managed by subsidiaries of NWS Holdings in Hong Kong.
