Tuesday, May 21, 2024 LATAM teams with PROMPERU to market Peru in the US, Mexico, Spain, Chile, and Colombia, boosting tourism with strategic ads. LATAM Airlines has entered the marketing arena through a new partnership with PROMPERU, the Peruvian Commission for Export and Tourism Promotion. This collaboration will see LATAM leveraging its status as a global carrier to boost awareness of Peru as a premier tourist destination across five key markets: the United States, Mexico, Spain, Chile, and Colombia.

These markets are critical, as they contributed to 61 percent of Peru’s total international visitors in 2023. The partnership is set to run until June this year and will kick off with digital marketing campaigns. These campaigns will spotlight seven of Peru’s most celebrated tourist spots.

Additionally, in Chile and the U.S., which are the leading sources of tourists to Peru, the campaign will be expanded to include outdoor digital displays.

LATAM will offer a variety of flight options to accommodate the expected increase in travelers, currently providing 52 percent of the available seat capacity on flights to Peru. Chile ranks as the top international source of visitors to Peru, with nearly 593,773 Chilean tourists in 2023. The United States follows closely, having sent 490,332 tourists.

Other significant contributors include Colombia, Brazil, Spain, and Mexico. LATAM continues to strengthen its position as a top airline connecting the world to Latin America..
