Monday, May 20, 2024 According to a recent study by travel deal experts at Tripplo, the Lake District has claimed the title of the UK’s most Instagram-worthy national park. Tripplo analyzed Instagram data from all 15 recognized UK national parks to determine the number of public posts each location had been tagged in. The total count of hashtagged posts was computed by amalgamating both the commonly used name and the full name for each national park.

For instance, both #lakedistrict and #lakedistrictnationalpark were included in the tally. With a staggering total of 5,150,856 hashtagged posts on Instagram, the Lake District emerged as the most Instagrammable national park in the UK. Situated in Cumbria in the Northwest of England, the Lake District is not only a UNESCO World Heritage Site but also the largest national park in the UK, covering 912 square miles.

The hashtag #lakedistrict was the most prevalent, appearing in 4,340,437 posts, followed by #lakedistrictnationalpark with 569,348 posts. Ranked as the fifth most Instagrammable countryside destination, the Peak District accumulated a total of 2,866,251 hashtagged posts. Encompassing primarily northern Derbyshire but also parts of Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Staffordshire, and Yorkshire, the Peak District was the UK’s inaugural national park.

Notable towns within its borders include Buxton and Bakewell. The hashtag #peakdistrict dominated with 2,315,197 posts, trailed by #peakdistrictnationalpark with 551,054 post.
