. FAMILY VISION Accommodation in Kings Park is a horrendous idea. I can’t believe that someone had this thought; then to carry it out in an A-Class Reserve is mind boggling.
Roger Cook, seriously, what are you thinking? It’s a park for all people and those cabins with their fencing look absolutely disgusting, are out of place in that setting and are certainly not affordable by all people. My great, great uncle John Forrest would be horrified. I am opposed to the concept of and the trialling of visitor accommodation in Kings Park. It is utterly irreconcilable to me that the State Government would make a mockery of its own WA Legislation (Botanic Gardens and Parks Regulations 1999) by promoting/facilitating the erection of a structure on the land, allow camping on the land and allowing use of a barbecue on the land. Furthermore, this accommodation is not necessary, with a myriad of existing visitor accommodation options surrounding Kings Park and in the CBD.
