Saturday, July 13, 2024 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has proposed a $400,000 civil penalty against Kalitta Air, based in Ypsilanti, Michigan, for allegedly conducting flights using prohibited procedures. According to the FAA, the airline was barred from using these procedures due to the software installed on the flight computer of their Boeing 777 aircraft. The agency claims that Kalitta Air employed these restricted procedures on 44 flights between December 29, 2022, and January 26, 2023.
