The initial phase of this growth strategy will see the introduction of new routes from Christchurch to Cairns and from Auckland to Maroochydore (Sunshine Coast), with tickets available from 12pm NZST today at jetstar.
com. The airline will also boost service on prominent domestic routes, beginning with flights from Christchurch to Auckland and from Auckland to Wellington. Additionally, Jetstar aims to further expand its domestic offerings in New Zealand over the coming year.
Furthermore, Jetstar is set to adjust the schedule of its Christchurch to Melbourne service to better connect with its extensive international network. This adjustment will enhance connections to its Asia-bound flights from Melbourne to cities like Ho Chi Minh City, Phuket, Singapore, and Bangkok, thereby improving inbound tourism to New Zealand’s South Island. To accommodate this expansion, Jetstar plans to station an additional aircraft in Christchurch starting December, increasing its New Zealand fleet to eight Airbus A320 planes.
