The airline group’s operations added 6,043 million euros to the Catalan Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and supported the creation of over 81,000 jobs in the region. 1% of Catalan GDP and 2.3% of full-time employment, highlighting the substantial economic impact of IAG’s activities in Catalonia. Luis Gallego, CEO of IAG, said: “The data demonstrates IAG’s strong commitment to Catalonia and how the activity of our airlines is a driver of the local economy, while supporting the creation of thousands of jobs.
