Friday, June 7, 2024 Discover the Japanese Dry Landscape Garden at InterContinental Tokyo Bay, offering exclusive cultural experiences and services for Japanese Lounge Access guests. InterContinental Tokyo Bay, situated in Minato Ward, Tokyo, has unveiled its Japanese Dry Landscape Garden within the Japanese Lounge, available exclusively for guests of the Japanese Lounge Access Rooms starting June 7. An official video has also been released, highlighting the immersive cultural experience offered to guests during their stay.
Inspired by the serene satoyama landscapes of Japan, the garden features meticulously pruned trees and a variety of seasonal flowers arranged to reflect the changing seasons, from fresh spring greenery to vibrant autumn foliage. Central to the garden is a Tsukubai, symbolizing the natural flow of water, while the karesansui technique uses sand patterns to create an illusion of rippling water, enhancing the tranquil ambiance. The official video details the exclusive services for Japanese Lounge Access guests, including Afternoon tea with premium Japanese ingredients, a Matcha tea experience, and rental services for Yukata (summer cotton kimono) and Uchiwa (paper fan).
Guests can also enjoy traditional Japanese breakfast and dinner sets crafted by Executive Chef Michiya Nakaune. Additionally, complimentary alcoholic beverages, including sake and shochu from Tokyo, are available to enhance the dining experience..
