Thursday, June 20, 2024 Ascott partners with SG Enable to boost disability inclusion and set new accessibility standards in hospitality. Today, Ascott Limited (Ascott), a lodging entity fully owned by CapitaLand Investment (CLI), entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SG Enable, Singapore’s primary agency for disability and inclusion. This collaboration marks a pioneering move toward enhancing disability inclusion and setting benchmarks for accessible hospitality services.

As the first initiative of this magnitude in Singapore’s hospitality sector, the partnership will introduce inclusive stay experiences by incorporating specialized design and programming at Ascott’s facilities across Singapore. Additionally, the collaboration aims to enrich workforce diversity and promote skill development across the sector. Together, Ascott and SG Enable will create and provide vital resources and specialized training on disability inclusion at the Ascott Centre for Excellence (ACE), a global training hub for hospitality professionals.



This initiative will culminate in the creation of a detailed global playbook in 2025, intended to guide disability inclusion efforts across Ascott’s global portfolio. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Guest-of-Honour Mr Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Social and Family Development.
