Saturday, June 22, 2024 The German Design Council has honored the German National Tourist Board (GNTB) with the prestigious German Brand Award 2024 in Gold for their 3D animation of Caspar David Friedrich’s “Wanderer above the Sea of Fog.” This recognition in the “Brand Communication – Ambient Media & Outdoor Advertising” category celebrates the GNTB’s innovative use of 3D video to promote Germany as a cultural travel destination. Displayed on Europe’s largest digital billboard at Piccadilly Circus in London, the captivating animation reached over 11.

6 million people in just two weeks. Additionally, the GNTB’s various campaigns were recognized in the “Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation” discipline, earning four “Winner Awards” and two “Special Mentions” from the jury.
