A Dubai-based influencer who posted footage of her walking on a protected beach in Sardinia has been slapped with a €1800 (AUD $2910) fine. It was a costly visit to Spiaggia Rosa , a tiny beach on the island of Budelli which is famous for its pink sand. The influencer, who posts content on Instagram to the account @Rogeriaguiadubai and has close to 36,000 followers, videoed herself arriving on the beach on a dinghy and then walking on the sand.

It's made up of €300 for flouting the ban and €1500 for arriving onto the island on a vessel that didn't have the proper authorisation. Reports say the tour company that hired her the dinghy did not know she was planning to sail to the island. Nowadays that penalty is €3500 (AUD $5660). In 2021, customs issued fines of up to €3000 to 41 people who attempted to leave the island with a total of 100 kilograms of sand, seashells and beach rocks. The seized sand was brought back by authorities to the beaches when possible, reported AP.

Spiaggia Rosa is often ranked as one of the most beautiful beaches in the wor.
