Sunday, June 23, 2024 Hyderabad’s Ohri’s Group, with a fifty-year heritage in gastronomy, has recently opened its latest venture, Tansen. This restaurant is a tribute to the opulence of the Mughal era as well as the rich culinary traditions of the North-Western Frontier. Tansen is inspired by the legendary court musician of the same name, whose innovative compositions profoundly influenced Indian classical music.

The restaurant aims to reflect Tansen’s transcendent creativity and finesse in its dining experience, creating timeless moments that fuse traditional flavors with an exquisite atmosphere. Like the musician it is named after, Tansen restaurant goes beyond typical dining. It embodies the spirit of the historical figure, celebrating his artistic genius and integrating his approach to innovation and sophistication into every aspect of the dining experience.

The ambiance is designed to evoke a sense of harmony, akin to a symphony, where each dish plays its note and every moment becomes an evocative journey. Amidst this serene setting, guests can enjoy the sound of flowing water and live Sufi music, enhancing the tranquil and poetic environment. The decor, with its golden hues, mirrors the regal charm of the Mughal era, while the service and language at the restaurant are steeped in the elegance of Urdu poetic traditions.

The menu at Tansen offers a wide variety of dishes that include innovative and traditional flavors. Starters like the Sundried Tomato & Smoke Chees.
