One of India's biggest airlines has just launched a new feature that allows female travellers to see where other women are sitting when selecting seats for their flights. According to a statement sent to CNN, low-cost carrier IndiGo Airlines is offering the feature on a pilot basis to female passengers checking in for their flights online. The carrier , founded in 2006, operates more than 2,000 domestic and international flights per day in India.

"IndiGo is proud to announce the introduction of a new feature that aims to make the travel experience more comfortable for our female passengers," said the airline.
