Tuesday, June 11, 2024 The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is hosting the “Ignite Tourism Thailand: TAT Skill Factory” workshop to enhance the skills of workers in the tourism sector. This initiative is part of the Prime Minister’s Ignite Thailand vision to establish the country as a leading tourism hub and a global destination. The event will take place from June 15-16, 2024, at the Ambassador Hotel Bangkok and is anticipated to draw 300 attendees, including tourism service workers, operators, and representatives from both government and private sectors.
The workshop will feature sessions led by industry experts on a variety of topics. These include “Future Lenses for Service” by Assistant Professor Ake Pattaratanakun, Ph.D.
, from Chulalongkorn University, and “English Skill for Service Business” by Mr. Gregory J. Raymond, a renowned English instructor and television personality.
Additional sessions will cover tourism safety management, first aid, and tourist support strategies. Organized by the TAT, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Ministry of Labour, and the Tourism Council of Thailand, the event supports the Thai government’s goal to promote tourism.
