This year, Iberia is providing an unprecedented capacity to link Europe and Mexico, offering over 772,000 seats, a 17% increase from 2019. Iberia and Volaris have forged a comprehensive codeshare agreement to enhance connectivity between Europe and Mexico.
Through this collaboration, European travelers gain access to 25 more destinations across Mexico operated by Volaris. Additionally, passengers can fly from these 25 Mexican cities to connect with Iberia’s flights between Mexico City and Madrid. This enhanced connectivity complements Iberia’s record capacity initiative this year, facilitating a seamless bridge between Europe and Mexico.
Specifically, Iberia operates three daily flights, providing over 772,000 seats annually, which is a 17% boost compared to 2019. Furthermore, the Spain-Mexico route is exclusively serviced by the A350, Iberia’s largest aircraft, featuring 348 seats across Business, Premium Economy, and Economy classes to cater to diverse passenger needs. Notably, this aircraft is highly efficient, consuming 35% less fuel than similar models.
