Tuesday, June 18, 2024 From June 14 to 23, the “International Cities of Gastronomy Fest, Macao” will be held at Macau Fisherman’s Wharf. One of the main attractions, the “City of Gastronomy Showcase,” will feature chefs from 26 Creative Cities of Gastronomy across Asia, Europe, Africa, Oceania, South and North America. These chefs will conduct 60 culinary sessions, highlighting Macao’s role as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy and promoting the synergy between tourism and gastronomy.
The six Chinese Creative Cities of Gastronomy will lead the showcase on the first two days, offering residents and visitors a chance to savor diverse culinary delights. The “City of Gastronomy Showcase” will offer six to seven sessions daily from 3:30 p.m.
to around 10 p.m. at Macau Fisherman’s Wharf.
Participating cities include Chengdu, Shunde, Macao, Yangzhou, Huai’an, Chaozhou (China), Iloilo City (Philippines), Kermanshah (Iran), Kuching (Malaysia), Phuket (Thailand), Tsuruoka (Japan), and Zahlé (Lebanon). These cities will present 32 sessions featuring Asian flavors on the Main Stage along Legend Boulevard, with chefs sharing their culinary expertise and offering free sampling sessions. Visitors can immerse themselves in the unique gastronomic cultures of these cities.
