Wednesday, May 29, 2024 Hotel Bellevue is thrilled to announce that acclaimed author David Szalay will inaugurate its first Artist & Writer in Residence program from June 1st to June 15th, 2024. David Szalay, known for his five novels and several radio dramas for the BBC and BBC Radio 4, was also featured in The Telegraph’s 2016 list of the Top 20 British Writers under 40. During his residency at Hotel Bellevue, Szalay will connect with the local community through various literary events.
Notable highlights include a lecture at Srednja škola Ambroza Haračića – Mali Lošinj and a free Literary Evening at Hotel Bellevue. Born in Canada in 1974 and raised in England, David Szalay’s literary journey has captivated readers worldwide. His illustrious career includes winning prestigious awards such as the Betty Trask Award and the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Award for his debut novel, “London and the South-East.” Szalay’s talent continued to earn him widespread acclaim.
