It's a good job TV medic Dr Nick Coatsworth is not squeamish. Because he needed to treat himself after a mishap on one of his fishing trips he reveals to 9Travel. Coatsworth, who is currently starring on Nine show Do you Want to Live Forever with Tracy Grimshaw, said he once ended up with a large fish hook through his leg.

"My mate was useless so I had to clean the area with Bundaberg Rum and cut the hook with a pair of pliers to get it out," he tells 9Travel. "Otherwise the trip would have been over.

His favourite spot in Australia is Arnhemland sports fishing lodge Dhipirri Barra Lodge in the Northern Territory, 350km from Darwin. "My favourite holiday is anywhere that can only be accessed by a single-engine Cessna on a dirt airstrip," he said.
