Liverpool bus drivers will take strike action next week in a move set to cause disruption during three Taylor Swift concerts in the city. Stagecoach today said it was disappointed that a full day of pay talks with the Unite union has not Unite members - including hundreds of bus drivers, engineers and cleaners - are set to walk out for five days between Thursday June 13 and Monday June 17. The strike action will cause major public transport disruption in the city at the same time that global megastar Taylor Swift is playing three sold-out shows at Stadium.
With the strike set to go ahead, Stagecoach has revealed exactly how its services will be affected by the strikes and which buses will not be able to run on the days of industrial action. Stagecoach services 10A, 14, 53, 82, 86 will not be operating on strike days and a special timetable will operate on routes 17, 19, 20 and 21 between 6.30am – 19.
