Wednesday, June 5, 2024 Frontier Airlines has proudly inaugurated a new crew base at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU). This new base is set to employ up to 90 pilots and 200 flight attendants within its first year, along with additional airport and maintenance staff. The airline anticipates generating nearly $84 million annually in local wages, with growth expected in the coming years.
To commemorate this milestone, America’s Greenest Airline is offering fares starting at just $29*. Coinciding with the base opening, Frontier is launching 11 new routes from SJU this month, expanding its reach across the continental U.S.
and the Caribbean. Additionally, nonstop flights to Grantley Adams International Airport in Barbados (BGI) will commence on July 3, 2024, and to Piarco International Airport in Trinidad (POS) on July 11, 2024. With these new routes, Frontier will serve a total of 28 destinations from San Juan, more than any other airline.
