Fiji Airways has been crowned the Best Airline in Australia and Pacific for the second consecutive year, at the prestigious Skytrax 2024 World Airline Awards, held in London overnight. Fiji's National Carrier beat out Air New Zealand which came in second, followed by Aussie airlines Qantas , Rex, Virgin and Jetstar . QantasLink placed seventh separately, with Air Tahiti also in the top ten.

UK-based Skytrax said the votes were the closest run since the awards, known as the Oscars of commercial aviation, began in 1999. Fiji Airways also improved its global ranking in the top 100 airlines, climbing from 15th in 2023 to 14th in 2024 to finish ahead of Qantas and Air New Zealand as well.
