An airline alliance is a partnership among carriers to expand services, share resources, and offer unified benefits to travelers. Star Alliance, oneworld, and SkyTeam collectively represent almost 60 airlines, providing access to extensive fleets and global networks. These alliances enhance competition and streamline travel for passengers through codeshare flights and shared frequent flyer programs.



Celebrating 27 years since its founding on May 14, 1997, Star Alliance is the world’s first major airline alliance. Based in Frankfurt, Germany, it includes 26 member airlines such as Air Canada, United Airlines, Lufthansa, and Singapore Airlines.
