Wednesday, May 22, 2024 The Port of Montreal is inviting the community to join the annual “Port in the City” event this summer! The program features a traveling information container, free bus tours of the Port of Montreal, and a chance to win a cruise. This event is designed to increase public awareness of port activities and provide an opportunity for the public to explore the facilities. The season kicks off this Friday, May 24, at the Eurêka! Festival, located at the foot of the Biosphere in Parc Jean-Drapeau, and runs until September 14.
The “Port in the City” container will welcome visitors throughout the summer, both at the Port of Montreal’s Grand Quay and at various public events. Visitors can enjoy a logistics-themed game, learn about port activities, enjoy bulk treats, and enter a cruise contest! New for 2024: From June 22 to September 2, the container will be open daily from noon to 5 p.m.
at the Port of Montreal’s Grand Quay, located on the Main Alley near the Croisières AML ticket office. The container will also travel to meet citizens at various public events across several Montreal boroughs and the Greater Montreal Region: The Port of Montreal is offering a unique opportunity for the public to tour its facilities! During the Branle-Bas d’Hochelaga and Back-to-School Sidewalk Sale events, free guided bus tours of a container terminal will be available.
