Friday, May 31, 2024 This week, the Emmy-winning American travel series “Bare Feet with Mickela Mallozzi” is filming its seventh season across Ireland . Broadcast on PBS, this popular series draws over 2 million viewers per episode and is accessible via the PBS app and website. The series showcases host and producer Mickela Mallozzi as she explores the cultural and dance traditions of her global destinations.
Supported by Tourism Ireland, Fáilte Ireland, and Tourism NI, the team is producing three 30-minute episodes set to air next spring. The filming locations include the North West of Ireland and Northern Ireland, featuring diverse cultural experiences. In Leitrim, Mickela learned to play the uilleann pipes with the music group Kíla at The Glens Centre.
Other filming spots include the Sligo Oyster Experience, Nancy’s Barn in Ballyliffin, and Malin Head. In Northern Ireland, the crew worked with chef Noel McMeel at The Ebrington Hotel and filmed at notable sites like the Giant’s Causeway, McConnell’s Distillery and Visitor Experience in Crumlin Road Gaol, and the Oh Yeah Music Centre.
