Wednesday, May 22, 2024 Emirates , the world’s largest international airline, and Avianca, a major Latin-American carrier, have initiated a new codeshare partnership. This collaboration enables customers of both airlines to enjoy seamless connections on certain routes. Passengers traveling from Emirates’ hubs through Madrid, Barcelona, or London Heathrow can connect directly to three Colombian cities.

The codeshare flights include routes from Madrid to Bogotá, Medellín, or Cali; from Barcelona to Bogotá; and from London Heathrow to Bogotá, offering enhanced convenience and additional travel benefits. Booking is available now on emirates.com, avianca.



com, the Emirates and Avianca mobile apps, their contact centers, and through both online and traditional travel agencies. The codeshare flights will commence on June 4. Under this agreement, Avianca will add its code to Emirates-operated flights from Barcelona, Madrid, or London Heathrow to Dubai.

Avianca’s customers will travel on Emirates’ widebody aircraft, enjoying premium dining, lie-flat seats in premium cabins, and access to an extensive inflight entertainment system with over 6,500 channels, including a wide selection of Spanish content.
