DUBLIN Airport has issued a major update to passengers ahead of tomorrow's Europa League Final at Dublin 's Aviva Stadium. The capital is set to welcome up to 30,000 football fans over the next two days with around 20,000 fans of Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen to fly into Dublin over the coming 48 hours. Over 10,000 attendees from more than 20 countries across the world are expected to arrive for the showpiece event.

More than 48,000 people are also expected to attend the match. Dublin Airport Managing Director Gary McLean said that "this is a very exciting week" as Dublin Airport is set to welcome football fans from all over the world. He added: "Hosting big matches like this helps put Ireland on the map, and the Dublin Airport team is proud to be playing a key role in facilitating the arrival and departure of up to 30,000 fans.



"A huge amount of planning, over many months, has gone into this game and, while we can't guarantee a positive result for both sets of fans, we look forward to providing them with a smooth and enjoyable journey in and out of Ireland." The 2023/24 UEFA Europa League season will take place in Dublin at Aviva Stadium on Wednesday, May 22, at 8pm. A large-scale garda policing plan , in addition to the Garda traffic management plan, will also be in place for the showpiece final.
