Tuesday, June 4, 2024 Discover Airlines boosts Munich ops, adding flights to Orlando, Calgary, Windhoek from 2025, making it a top leisure hub. Discover Airlines plans to significantly enhance its service offerings at Munich Airport starting next year by incorporating long-distance routes alongside its current short and medium-range services. From March 2025, the airline will station two Airbus A330 aircraft in Munich.
Already the leading leisure carrier at the hub, Discover Airlines operates five short-haul planes, providing approximately 70 weekly flights to 23 vacation destinations. New direct routes to destinations in Florida, Canada, and southern Africa have been announced. Starting 3 March 2025, Discover Airlines will operate three weekly flights (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) from Munich to Orlando.
Beginning 1 April, the airline will also provide service to Windhoek, Namibia’s capital, with flights scheduled for Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Additionally, from 12 April, there will be up to five weekly flights (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday) connecting Munich with Calgary in Canada. These routes will operate throughout the year, with Discover Airlines offering the sole direct flights from Munich to these sought-after locations.
