Delta Air Lines Delta Air Lines may have been a bit late in opening a dedicated lounge for its first-class flyers, particularly as its Sky Clubs got more crowded. But the airline is making up for that with its first Delta One Lounge opening at JFK’s Terminal Four tomorrow.
And it’s a stunner: huge-39,707 square feet- divided into separate, sleekly designed areas and with spa and dining areas that will encourage passengers to get to the airport early. The special treatment starts early with a dedicated check in area located in the former Sky Priority section near the right-side wall of the terminal as you enter. An attendant awaits to transport passengers’ luggage to a check-in kiosk and check them in while they wait in lounge chairs.
Starting in the fall, that area will feed directly into a dedicated security area freeing them from the general chaos of the other security lines. (In the meantime, Delta Digital ID speeds passengers through, especially at this terminal.) The Delta One Lounge Brasserie Delta Air Lines Once inside the lounge, there are several areas to pass the time before flights.
The Icon Bar takes center stage with its curved, gilded walls, marble bar and fluted glass lighting, a nod, apparently, to New York’s Radio City Music Hall. Cocktails include classics such as a French 75, Espresso Martini and an Old Fashioned but with a Delta/Atlanta twist composed of Wood.
