Sunday, June 9, 2024 Delta Air Lines has resumed its direct flights between Burbank (BUR) and Atlanta (ATL) for the first time since 2020. In a grand gesture, Hollywood Burbank Airport welcomed passengers of the inaugural flight by rolling out the red carpet. “We are excited to see the return of Atlanta service with Delta Air Lines,” says Executive Director Frank Miller .

“This additional service is a positive step for the future of Hollywood Burbank Airport and nonstop service east of the Rockies.” The new daily services are operated using the Airbus A220-300, providing BUR passengers with additional travel choices. Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, the main hub for Delta, orchestrates more than 830 peak-day flights to over 200 global destinations.



“By delivering more ways to access sought-after destinations throughout the U.S. West, we’re more ready than ever to take our customers on their next great adventures – with the service, reliability and convenience they’ve come to know and expect when flying Delta,” says Joe Esposito, Senior Vice President of Network Planning .

This route reintroduction marks the addition of a second direct destination from BUR on Delta, complementing their existing nonstop service to Salt Lake City..
