Thursday, June 27, 2024 The 2024 Dalian Summer Davos Forum has officially commenced, bringing together domestic and international guests on the shores of Dalian Bay to discuss global economic communication and cooperation for sustainable development. Under the theme “New Frontiers for Future Growth,” Dalian has recommended 13 forward-looking and exploratory topics for the Forum. For the first time, two ancillary agendas in the form of luncheons have been introduced at the forum venue.
Leveraging 5G-A technology, the network support capacity at the venue has been enhanced, enabling HD live broadcasts and rapid downloads. This marks the first large-scale international conference venue in the country with full 5G-A coverage and intelligent computing functions, showcasing the advancements of ‘Digital China’ to participants. Dalian emphasizes energy saving and carbon reduction, with over 80% of the more than 600 service vehicles for the forum being new energy vehicles (NEVs).
As one of China’s pilot cities for low-carbon development, Dalian is accelerating its green transformation, allowing guests and citizens to experience the vitality of its green ecology. Dalian is amplifying economic and trade interactions with promotional materials like “Investing in Dalian 2024,” highlighting its industrial base, urban charm, and development potential. These efforts are integrated into industrial tourism activities during the forum.
