The Kolkata Airport Authority decided to halt all flight operations for 21 hours, from midnight on May 26 until 9 AM on May 27, in anticipation of the cyclone making landfall. Impact on Dubai Flights Given the severe weather forecasted for the coastal region of West Bengal, including Kolkata, flight operations were suspended from 12:00 IST on May 26 to 09:00 IST on May 27.

Heavy winds and intense rainfall were expected, prompting this precautionary measure. Emirates and flydubai flights were notably affected. An Emirates spokesperson confirmed the cancellation of flights EK 572/573 on May 26 and EK 570/571 on May 27.



Flydubai also reported delays, with flights FZ 461/462 rescheduled to operate on May 27 instead of May 26.
