Drivers are facing long delays on the A47 into Norwich this morning. A crash near Blofield has left commuters with up to 50-minute hold-ups. The road has been closed Norwich-bound after it was first reported shortly before 7am.

The #A47 in #Norfolk is CLOSED in both directions between the #A1270 ( #Postwick , #Norwich ) & the #A1064 ( #Acle ) due to a @norfolkpolice led incident. Unfortunately, we do not have any timeframes for when the road may re-open at this stage. Allow extra journey time this morning.

One motorist stuck in the gridlock traffic said he only moved "three car lengths in 30 minutes." He added: "I left Great Yarmouth at 6.50am and 90 minutes later I'm still stuck on the edge of Blofield.

" The X1, X11 and 15 and 16 bus services are also reporting disruption The injuries of anyone involved are not yet known. More to follow..
