Wednesday, June 5, 2024 Chubb has officially declared its intent to purchase Catalyst Aviation Insurance, a managing general agent based in Melbourne that provides specialized general aviation insurance in the Australian market. By integrating Catalyst Aviation, Chubb aims to bolster its footprint in a key aviation sector, enhancing access for brokers and clients locally, and broadening the scope of its aviation insurance offerings through Chubb Global Markets. This sector includes the company’s operations in the London wholesale and specialty markets, as well as its Lloyd’s platform.
The deal is structured to ensure seamless service continuity for both clients and distribution partners. Brendan Warner, the current Managing Director at Catalyst, will maintain his role leading the aviation underwriting team in Australia. The exact financial terms of the deal have not been revealed.
