The development will be staged in phases to avoid disruption to visitors, and ultimately add 198 additional lodges, including four Treehouses - the most luxurious type of accommodation in the resort. It will also include a new restaurant and coffee house, and an extension to existing restaurants, leisure and car park facilities, and Longford Forest's Subtropical Swimming Paradise. New treatment rooms and a treetop sauna will be added to its Aqua Sana spa, “which will give phenomenal views into the forest”, said Center Parcs’ UK and Ireland CEO, Colin McKinlay.



There are plans for Treetop Saunas at Center Parcs Longford Forest The expansion was first announced in 2021 , but delayed following a number of objections over concerns about its impact on the environment. An Bord Pleanála finally gave the go-ahead last November, rejecting appeals against its planning permission and upholding the original decision by Longford County C.
