Wednesday, May 22, 2024 Carnival Cruise Line is set to open Celebration Key, a new private port specifically designed for its cruise ships, in July 2025. This port will feature five distinct areas, including Starfish Lagoon, a dedicated family zone. Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, emphasized that the design of Starfish Lagoon caters to families, as Carnival hosts more children than any other cruise line.

Starfish Lagoon is tailored for family enjoyment with various attractions: Adjacent to the Game Pavilion, the sports court will provide facilities for basketball, volleyball, and pickleball. The Game Pavilion itself will include a variety of games such as foosball, ping pong, and corn hole, ensuring entertainment for all ages. Eighteen Carnival cruise ships are scheduled to visit Celebration Key.



Currently, over 500 cruises that include this new port destination are available for booking. Carnival Vista will be the first ship to dock at Celebration Key on July 19, 2025. The port’s pier can accommodate up to two of Carnival’s largest cruise ships simultaneously, with future expansion plans to host up to four ships at once.

Once Celebration Key opens, Carnival will commence Phase 2 of the development, which includes the addition of a water park. This expansion aims to further enhance the port’s appeal and provide more attractions for families and other travelers. The introduction of Celebration Key is poised to significantly enhance cruise travel exper.
