Carnival Cruise removed a popular lotalty perk from its diamond and platinum program – although you probably didn't hear about it. This is because the popular cruise line's loyalty members say they were not alerted tot he change, which is effective this month, per Cruise Radio. Carnival quietly removed its complimentary $25 FunPlay casino credit for Diamond and Platinum VIFPs, which was introduced during the pandemic to replace casino tournaments that had been cancelled to follow social distancing protocols.

Through the program, priority Diamond and Platinum guests could request that the amount be loaded into their casino accounts once they boarded the cruise ship. On John Heald’s Facebook page , the Carnival Cruise Line Brand Ambassador explained that Carnival’s Casino Department decided to remove it.



He also mentioned a new rewards program that is in the works. “This is casino-specific,” Heald explained. “And please remember we are also going to be completing a new loyalty program by the end of this year.
