Saturday, June 29, 2024 Brussels Airport anticipates a bustling start to the summer season as approximately 83,000 passengers are expected to traverse its terminals on Friday. This surge coincides with the commencement of Dutch-speaking school holidays, contributing to a significant increase in air travel. The airport forecasts continued high traffic over the weekend, with an estimated 75,000 and 79,000 passengers projected to travel on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

In preparation for the influx, Brussels Airport has implemented several measures to ensure efficient operations. Additional staff will be stationed at key points throughout the terminals to assist travelers, while newly installed automated gates at border control aim to streamline the departure process. To enhance passenger experience, the Airport App has undergone a redesign, offering real-time updates on flight statuses and gate information.



Furthermore, travelers driving to the airport are encouraged to reserve parking spaces in advance to avoid last-minute hassles. The spike in passenger numbers isn’t limited to this weekend alone. With French-speaking schools in Belgium beginning their summer break a week later, Friday, 5 th July is also expected to see heightened activity, with nearly 80,000 travelers anticipated.

Looking ahead, Brussels Airport projects a robust summer season, forecasting over five million passengers passing through its gates over the next two months. This prediction reflects a 6% inc.
