THREE brand new routes to popular holiday hotspots have been launched by British Airways this week. They include trips to the south of France, a popular Italian city break location and a Balearic island. Flights to Nice, Florence, and Ibiza will be operated by BA CityFlyer on both Saturdays and Sundays.
They will all take off from London Stansted, with the airline returning to the airport for the first time since before the global pandemic. That means the airline now offers flights from four London airports. The first of the flights set off on Sunday, May 19 to Florence at 7.
40am. That was shortly followed by the Nice departure at 8.35am and the afternoon service to Ibiza at 3pm.
Ciaran Brannigan, London Stansted’s Commercial Director, said: “London Stansted serves more European destinations than any other UK airport. "These new services to Ibiza, Florence and Nice are strong additions to our route network. "I’m sure these routes will be very popular with passengers from across London, Cambridge and the growing East of England region.
"We look forward to working closely with British Airways to build a strong working relationship and ensure these new flights are a success.” Additionally, BA also recently announced that it will launch a new route to Split in Croatia from September, also from Stansted. Elsewhere, another new route has also been launched by British Airways to a popular city break destination.
From today, the airline is offering new routes to Dublin from L.
