Tuesday, May 21, 2024 British Airways has unveiled a new route to Saudi Arabia, adding Jeddah to its list of destinations from the UK. Competing with airlines such as Emirates, United Airlines, and American Airlines, British Airways has updated its offerings for UK travelers heading to Saudi Arabia. The airline, which operates flights from Birmingham Airport among others, announced that Jeddah is now included in its routes.
This new service, which begins on November 4, 2024, will be available year-round from London Heathrow. The flights will be operated by British Airways’ Boeing 787 fleet and will enhance connectivity to the Kingdom with four flights per week. This service complements the daily flights already available between Riyadh and Heathrow Terminal 5.
Colm Lacy, British Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer, highlighted the significance of this new route during a speech in Riyadh’s King Abdullah Financial District. He stated, “We have a long history of connecting families, friends, and businesses in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with our home in London. There are significant opportunities for businesses in both countries, so we’re pleased we can re-build our connectivity and strengthen links between the two kingdoms.
” To mark the launch of this new route, British Airways is offering promotional return fares. Travelers can book economy class (World Traveller) tickets for 1905 SAR and business class (Club World) tickets for 16079 SAR if booked before June 5, 2024.
