Wednesday, May 22, 2024 Booking.com has published new research featuring insights from over 31,000 global travelers, including 1,000 from Australia, which examines current attitudes and priorities concerning sustainable travel. Key findings include: “Whilst many Australian travellers have retained a sense of optimism and a desire to have a more positive impact, there is a critical opportunity for the industry to accelerate efforts to make those choices easier for everyone,” says Todd Lacey, Regional Manager of Booking.

It involved 31,550 participants from 34 countries and territories, including 1,000 from Australia. Participants were required to be at least 18 years old, have traveled at least once in the past 12 months, and plan to travel in 2023. They also needed to be the main decision-maker or have a role in their travel planning decisions.
