Since it’s such a massive contract, it’s no surprise that the United States is filled with great tourist destinations. There are even cities that embrace Hispanic and Latino history and culture, making them perfect places for residents of Mexico to visit on vacation. Of course, cities like New York and Los Angeles are obvious destinations.

But there are many other American cities that provide a diverse and welcoming setting for visitors from Latin America. If you want to explore one of these cities on your next vacation, here are some destinations to consider. Ohio’s capital city, Columbus, hosts a variety of Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations.

Events include art exhibits, quinceañeras, and festivals featuring Latin cuisine. If you go in October, you’ll get to experience the annual Mexican Independence Day Parade. The parade is incredibly festive, featuring amazing live music, performances, and dancing.

Columbus is also home to the fifth-largest Hispanic community in the country with over 100,000 residents identifying as Latino. The city also has a beautiful conservatory and botanical garden, as well as an indoor LEGO-themed playground. Philadelphia is perhaps the most important city in terms of American history.

But don’t miss Philly’s historic Centro de Oro neighborhood, where you can savor incredible Puerto Rican, Dominican, and Mexican cuisine. Attend the annual Feria del Barrio festival to celebrate Latino arts and culture while also exploring the Philade.
