Located in a refurbished mid-century building in the heart of the city’s museum district, this 163-room canal-side property offers a relaxing stay for both business and leisure travelers. Guests can also access some of Amsterdam’s most unique experiences through innovative partnerships.

The hotel’s design draws inspiration from the Stedelijk Museum’s expansive collection, blending avant-garde and traditional elements to create modern, inviting interiors. Brick, a prominent material in Amsterdam, adds a touch of the city’s architectural identity to the gleaming glass façade. Inside, clean lines and practical furniture honor functionalism and rationalism, while mirrors and polished surfaces reflect the tranquil canals.



Geometric patterns and block colors in the carpets, tiles, and soft furnishings are inspired by the works of renowned 20th-century artists like Piet Mondrian, Anni Albers, Gunta Stolzl, and Sophie Taeuber, completing the artistic fusion within the design. Avani’s spacious guest rooms and suites are inspired by the 1960s, featuring warm hues of terracotta, mustard yellow, and deep browns, reminiscent of Amsterdam’s muted tones.
