Thursday, June 6, 2024 The Museum of Underwater Art (MOUA) in collaboration with Artistic Swimming Australia (ASA) proudly announces the successful execution of “Dive into Greatness”. This unique event creatively combined sports, art, and ecological awareness to highlight the plight of the Great Barrier Reef and corals globally, just before World Oceans Day on June 8. Event Highlights: A spectacular performance by the Australian Olympic Artistic Swimming Team took place at the John Brewer Reef, part of the Coral Sea.

The athletes presented their routine for the upcoming Paris Olympics amidst MOUA’s striking underwater sculptures. This extraordinary synergy underscored the breathtaking splendor and critical importance of the Great Barrier Reef, the largest coral reef system globally and a cherished Australian heritage. Support for MOUA’s Small Changes Campaign: The Olympic team is a proud advocate for MOUA’s #SmallChanges campaign.

This initiative stresses the vulnerability yet resilience of coral reefs worldwide, encouraging public participation in combating climate change. The vibrant coral thriving on the submerged artworks testifies to the reef’s resilience. The backing from the Olympic swimmers serves as a powerful motivation for collective effort and solidarity.

MOUA extends an invitation to all to visit the reef, gain insights into this majestic natural wonder, and adopt #SmallChanges in everyday practices to safeguard our planet’s marine environments..
