Air New Zealand has reported that ten domestic departures and four arrivals have been canceled due to these adverse weather conditions. In addition to the cancellations, several main trunk domestic flights have been delayed.
This includes three flights from Christchurch, one from Wellington, and another from Queenstown, as travelers face uncertainty in their schedules. Despite the challenges faced by domestic flights, international flights remain unaffected by the fog. Earlier in the day, the situation was equally challenging, with 45 regional flights canceled and 44 others delayed as the fog restrictions came into effect at 2:40 AM.
The persistent fog has caused considerable inconvenience to passengers traveling through Auckland Airport.
