Thursday, June 6, 2024 Atlantis Dubai doubles its conservation donations on World Oceans Day, enhancing its impact. On the 8th of June, Atlantis Dubai celebrates the third anniversary of its groundbreaking sustainability program, the Atlantis Atlas Project, coinciding with World Oceans Day. This year, the resort is excited to highlight its collaboration with the UAE-based Seafood Souq, initiated last year.

This partnership pioneers the first transparent seafood supply chain in the region by meticulously tracking seafood from the ocean to the plate. This process enhances understanding of the origins and handling of seafood served across Atlantis Dubai’s restaurants, guaranteeing comprehensive data from both global and local seafood providers. In the 2022-23 cycle, Seafood Souq received funding through the Atlantis Atlas Project’s 1 USD contribution scheme.

This scheme donates $1 USD for every marine animal interaction by a guest to support various global and local sustainability efforts. To date, this initiative has amassed over $250,000. The funds granted to Seafood Souq were invested in developing their SFS Trace* technology, which was co-created with Atlantis Dubai.

This technology led to the creation of a digital impact dashboard that offers detailed traceability information and insights for the resort’s seafood purchasing. The Trace technology and the corresponding impact dashboard were launched at Atlantis Dubai in August 2023. Every three months, audits are conduc.
