Monday, May 20, 2024 After dedicating 33 remarkable years to the entertainment industry, Tim Worton, Group Director of Arenas for ASM Global (APAC), is embarking on a new journey. Following a quarter-century tenure within the ASM Global family, Worton is transitioning away from the industry to pursue a different path. Beginning in 2025, he will immerse himself as a full-time student for 12 months at Moore Theological College in Sydney, with plans to subsequently delve into roles within pastoral care, chaplaincy, or ministry.

Despite his departure at the end of 2024, Worton’s passion for music and live concerts remains unwavering. With a wealth of experience encompassing thousands of stage performances and engagements with renowned artists, he assures that his departure will not signal the end of the music. Having played a pivotal role in the management of venues and live entertainment, Worton has served as the Director of ASM Global’s arena group for the past 19 years.

The announcement of his career shift was made during the 31st Asia Pacific Venue Industry Congress at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC). Harvey Lister AM, Chairman and Chief Executive of ASM Global (APAC), expressed deep appreciation for Worton’s contributions, noting his significant impact on ASM Global’s arena portfolio across Australia and the Asia Pacific region. “Tim has been a great ambassador for our organisation.

He has made an admirable and life changing decision to follow hi.
