Friday, June 14, 2024 Amtrak 2023 Sustainability Report highlights significant environmental progress, showcasing efforts to reduce GHG emissions. WASHINGTON – The latest Sustainability Report for fiscal year 2023 reveals Amtrak’s strides towards achieving Net-Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2045. Throughout FY23, Amtrak substituted over a million gallons of traditional fossil fuels with renewable diesel, incorporated climate resilience and sustainability features in its capital projects, and completed designs for its inaugural clean energy production site.
